We are seeking an engaging, enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join a supportive and nurturing primary school for a fixed‑term contract from April to July 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an early years specialist or primary class teacher to lead a Reception class with full teaching responsibilities within a caring and collaborative school community. Role Overview

As Reception Class Teacher, you will:

Lead planning and delivery of high‑quality teaching in Reception following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and school curriculum.

Create an inclusive, stimulating and well‑organised learning environment that supports every child's development.

Assess and track pupil progress, setting appropriate targets and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.

Build strong relationships with children, parents and carers, ensuring positive communication and partnership.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and utilise the guidance and support of our appointed consultant to enrich teaching practice and pupil outcomes.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience in early years education or a strong interest in EYFS practice.

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

A creative, child‑centred approach to teaching and learning.

A commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion for all pupils.
