Location: Tunbridge Wells

Early Years Outreach Intervention Service Lead

Hours: 33.5 per week, Monday–Friday, term‑time only
Salary: Kent Scheme D £26,393 + SEN Allowance £1,484.97 (pro rata)
Location: Tunbridge Wells and surrounding Early Years settings

Are you passionate about improving outcomes for young children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you thrive when supporting others, shaping inclusive practice, and working with families and professionals?

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference for children across the Tunbridge Wells district.

As our Early Years Outreach Intervention Service Lead, you will:
  • Provide specialist SEND support across Early Years settings
  • Design and deliver targeted interventions (wellbeing, regulation, communication, sensory support)
  • Model best practice and support inclusive teaching and early identification
  • Work directly with children and families in 1:1 and small‑group sessions
  • Support transitions into mainstream or specialist settings
  • Line‑manage and develop Specialist Intervention Outreach Assistants
  • Build strong relationships with Early Years leaders, therapists and multi‑agency partners
  • Contribute to the Early Years Professional Resource Group (EYPRG)
  • Maintain high‑quality records and provide clear feedback

  • Have experience supporting children with SEND
  • Are confident working in Early Years environments
  • Can lead, coach and inspire others
  • Communicate effectively with families and professionals
  • Are organised, compassionate and reflective
  • Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car (travel required)
  • Relevant qualifications in education, Early Years or SEND are desirable.

Location and travel

You will work flexibly across multiple Early Years settings in the Tunbridge Wells district. A full driving licence and use of your own vehicle are essential.
