We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to work alongside teachers in supporting pupils' learning and development. This role is suitable for working with children who may require additional support to reach their full potential, including those with learning difficulties, behavioural challenges, or other additional needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive difference in pupils' educational experience.
Responsibilities- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting teachers in delivering differentiated learning activities
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independent learning
- Supporting positive behaviour and emotional development
- Helping with personal care where required
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals
- Have experience working with children in school or care settings
- Are patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Are flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic
- Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) or are willing to work towards one
Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs is desirable but not essential.
