Cover Supervisor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Cover Supervisor to join a high-achieving Grammar school in the Tonbridge/Tunbridge Wells area on a direct permanent contract. This is a key role within the school, supporting the delivery of high standards of education and ensuring continuity of learning for students.

As a full-time Cover Supervisor, you will play an integral part in the daily life of the school, providing classroom supervision during teacher absence and offering additional in-class support where needed to maximise pupil engagement and progress.

• Supervising classes using pre-planned lessons and set work
• Maintaining a focused, calm and productive learning environment
• Ensuring students remain on task and complete assigned work
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s high expectations
• Supporting lessons and small group work when not required for cover duties

• Previous experience working within a secondary school or formal education setting
• Strong behaviour management skills and confident classroom presence
• Ability to engage and motivate students across a range of subjects
• Clear communication skills and a professional, reliable approach
• Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (a clean DBS is required and a DBS check will be completed by the school upon appointment)
