up to £70,000 DOE + Performance Bonus + Paid Subscriptions + Private Healthcare

An established and growing Chartered Building Surveying consultancy in Kent is looking to appoint an experienced MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor to join their close-knit team.

This is a genuine opportunity to join a forward-thinking practice with strong leadership, excellent staff retention, and clear progression routes including Director-level potential for the right individual.

The Company This independent consultancy is around 20 staff strong, led by three hands-on Director shareholders who remain actively involved in projects and mentoring.

Their core workload is within social housing, delivering retrofit schemes, planned maintenance programmes, contract administration, and Principal Designer services under the Building Safety Act. They also work across insurance, education, charity, and commercial sectors.

As part of their strategic growth, they are keen to expand further into MOD, Education, and NHS frameworks and are particularly interested in individuals who can bring client relationships or open doors into new sectors.

The business has an excellent reputation for APC support (including Directors who sit on assessment panels) and has a strong track record of developing graduates into senior leadership positions.

The Role You will take responsibility for your own projects while working collaboratively within a supportive team environment. The role will include:

Contract Administration (JCT)
Specification writing
Project delivery across refurbishment, extension and new-build schemes
Professional services (dilapidations, party walls, etc.)
Retrofit and planned maintenance projects (desirable but not essential)
Client-facing responsibilities and identifying new business opportunities
Supporting and mentoring junior team members Projects are primarily located across London, Kent, Sussex and the wider South East, with hybrid working flexibility.
What They’re Looking For
MRICS qualified
Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
