About Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows.
Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Beaumont doctors on faculty.
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, perform diagnostic Interventional Radiology (IR) exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation while applying ALARA principles of radiation protection. The Apprentice may be required to perform IV starts and prep patients. The apprentice scrubs in with the interventional physician and practices sterile technique, prepares the sterile tray with the appropriate supplies and assists the physician with procedures, has knowledge of all the supplies needed by the physician to perform interventions.
Qualifications- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Associate’s degree - Graduated from accredited Radiography program required
- American Heart Association or Red Cross - Basic Life Support required.
- CRT - Radiologic Technologist Registration-ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) Upon Hire - Required.
