This position is a hybrid finance opportunity located at our Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak.
Job SummaryLeads the preparation, research and analysis of financial and utilization information to support the General Finance Department goals and objectives. Oversees the extraction of financial data from various accounting and information systems to perform statistical, cost and financial analysis for the preparation of management reports. Serves as a liaison between employees and management providing day‑to‑day leadership to team members to improve the overall quality and timeliness of the deliverable.
Responsible for handling the more complex aspects and issues of the General Finance Department.
- Serves as a resource to all team members and mentors new employees assigned to team.
- Performs statistical, cost, and financial variance analysis of data to evaluate financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Provides guidance on business issues including financial and profitability analysis. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity.
- Acts as a consultant to assigned areas of the organization to support the financial goals and objectives of Corewell Health.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, finance, business administration, economics, statistics or related field
- 5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related work
- Formal or informal leadership experience
- Proven finance experience working in a healthcare setting
Preferred
- Master’s degree in business or finance
- Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan
