Join Baker College as a Faculty Technology Success Strategist and help shape the future of teaching and learning by empowering faculty to confidently integrate innovative, accessible, and pedagogy-driven technologies into the classroom.
The Faculty Technology Success Strategist supports Baker College's academic innovation efforts by leading the evaluation, vetting, piloting, and implementation of instructional technologies-including AI-enabled and adaptive learning tools-in close partnership with academic, instructional design, and IT stakeholders. This role conducts faculty needs assessments; supports the design and execution of academic technology pilots; delivers professional development, training, and coaching to ensure faculty confidently integrate accessible, secure, pedagogy-aligned, and student-centered tools into teaching and learning;
documents pilot outcomes to inform adoption decisions; monitors emerging edtech trends; and advances alignment, compliance, and faculty development initiatives across the institution.
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred, along with 2-4 years of experience in educational technology support, faculty training, or instructional design in higher education. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong pedagogical understanding of instructional technologies; effective training, facilitation, and communication skills for diverse audiences;
and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, faculty-friendly guidance. Experience applying AI in education with attention to ethical use, strong organizational and collaboration skills, and the ability to quickly learn emerging tools are essential. Proficiency with LMS platforms such as Canvas and multimedia tools including Camtasia, Articulate, or Canva is expected, along with experience designing or facilitating professional development for adult learners and a commitment to ethical, inclusive, and student-centered technology practices.
