Shrine Catholic High School & Academy is in Royal Oak, MI at the corner of 13 Mile Rd and Woodward Avenue. Qualifications- Candidates must have a passion for teaching the language and culture.
- Possibly certified and/or approved for teaching by the Department of Education for the State of Michigan.
- All teachers (not substitutes) are required to hold the appropriate endorsement for the subject(s) they are assigned to teach:
Spanish (FF).
- Apply differentiated instruction and assessment that improves achievement for all learners in a learner-centered and collaborative environment.
- Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
- Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods of instruction.
- Implement research-based practices including differentiated instruction.
- Consistently create a high level of active student engagement and student-led learning.
- Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process including a FACTS Student Information System and the Google Suite (Including Google Classroom).
- Create classroom environments conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, spiritual, and emotional development of students.
- Manage student behavior in accordance with the Code of Conduct.
- Create an environment of respect and rapport, rooted in faith.
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, principals, colleagues, and community members.
- Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly using FACTS.
- 1 section of Academy (7th Grade) Introduction to Spanish Curriculum (12:35pm-1:23pm on Full days)
