Overview
Corewell Health's department of behavioral health is growing to add a BC/BE Adult Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist to Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital. The Consult Liaison (CL) Psychiatrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to provide psychiatric consultation to medical/surgical units and the emergency department for patients with primary psychiatric conditions or psychiatric comorbidities. The CL Psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and give recommendations for patients on the respective services, and facilitate referrals for long-term treatment when needed for the diverse population served.
This role includes resident and medical student education.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to provide psychiatric consultation to medical/surgical units and the emergency department.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment recommendations for patients with primary psychiatric conditions or psychiatric comorbidities.
- Facilitate referrals for long-term treatment when needed.
- Educate residents and medical students.

- Interest in teaching and supervision of medical students, residents and fellows
- Unrestricted License and DEA – Michigan MD/DO
The role is hospital-employed with resources and a referral base within Corewell Health East. Primary location:
Royal Oak Hospital, Royal Oak, MI.
