Position: Experienced / Senior Unity Programmer - Meta

Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, Pixel Toys have spent over a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile and VR gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including:
Warhammer 40,000:
Freeblade, Warhammer Age of Sigmar:
Realm War; and we’re now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we’ve done previously!

As a forward thinking and innovative studio we are always looking for new technologies and techniques to develop and use in our games and make them even more engaging experiences for our customers.

We are excited to continue to grow our team and are always on the lookout for highly talented and motivated individuals, who are passionate about gaming and excited to join us on our ambitious journey!

The Role:

Join Pixel Toys at a pivotal moment, stepping into a dynamic team dedicated to pushing the absolute limits of what is possible on the latest mobile and tablet hardware.

In this role, you will act as a key architect of a AAA mobile product, developing the essential systems and technologies that deliver a world‑class, visually stunning user experience. You will collaborate closely with discipline leads to set high technical standards and drive our technology forward, ensuring that every gameplay and UI system is as sophisticated as it is performant.

Your day‑to‑day will involve implementing, fixing, and optimising core game systems using C# while championing the use of cutting‑edge Unity technologies. You will maintain an uncompromising level of technical quality throughout the product’s lifecycle, performing insightful code reviews and offering the kind of constructive feedback that helps the whole team grow.

You will also become a technical detective, proactively identifying bottlenecks or issues in existing implementations and working in lockstep with the Tech Lead and the wider engineering team to engineer elegant, high‑impact solutions.

About you:

Joining us as a dedicated engineer with a deep‑seated passion for building complex, high‑performance solutions that follow the industry’s best practices, you will possess the seasoned perspective needed to shape code systems and select the right technologies to bring our games to life.

Proficient in Unity and C#, you will bring a sophisticated understanding of architectural patterns and methodologies to an Agile environment where rapid iteration and technical excellence go hand‑in‑hand.

Beyond your technical prowess, you are a creative problem solver and an exceptional communicator who can translate complex technical concepts for both developers and non‑technical stakeholders alike. You are a self‑motivated team player with a proactive approach and a genuine enthusiasm for the craft of game‑making.

Your commitment to quality is also unwavering, and you thrive in collaborative settings where your sharp troubleshooting skills and positive energy help the entire team overcome challenges and deliver games at the highest possible standard.
