CNC Miller

Monday to Thursday - Night shift {7pm - 6am}

Length: 6 months

Syntech Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CNC Milling Machining Technician on behalf of a high-precision engineering organisation based in Leamington Spa. Working within a small, skilled machining team, the successful candidate will operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components while maintaining a right-first-time manufacturing philosophy.

CNC Miller Responsibilities
  • Manufacture precision machined components using CNC milling machines in line with engineering drawings and route cards.
  • Work to tight tolerances and production time frames while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis (3+2) CNC milling machines across a range of materials.
  • Read, interpret, and make adjustments to CNC programmes, including optimisation of speeds and feeds where necessary.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment to ensure parts meet specification.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to support efficient production flow and delivery targets.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the machining environment.
  • Support other areas of manufacturing operations when required.
  • Operate multiple machines and support overtime requirements where necessary to meet delivery deadlines.
CNC Miller Requirements
  • Proven experience producing precision machined components within a CNC milling environment.
  • Strong experience operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines (3+2 machining).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and route cards to manufacture components accurately.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding Fanuc machine code, with the ability to carry out basic on-machine programming.
  • Experience reading, editing, and adjusting CNC programmes including speeds and feeds.
  • Competent in using precision measurement equipment to verify component accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to support wider manufacturing activities when required.
  • Advantageous:
    Basic knowledge or experience of wire erosion machining.
