We currently have an exciting opportunity for Production Technician to assist with the installation of Artwork for their commercial clients. Elegant Clutter works with high‑end hotels and restaurants and provides a bespoke and outstanding service to clients both within the UK and overseas.

We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail‑driven Production Technician to join our framing and finishing team. You’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality framed artworks and decorative pieces, ensuring projects run smoothly from initial preparation to final assembly. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in picture framing, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment.
Scopeof the Role
As a Production Technician, you will apply proven framing techniques and creative problem‑solving to produce bespoke frames, mounts, and finished art pieces. You’ll work across a variety of materials and processes, collaborating closely with design, print, and logistics teams to ensure exceptional quality and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities Framing & Finishing- Carry out all aspects of picture framing, including frame cutting, assembly, mounting, laminating, glass and board cutting, canvas stretching, and mirror framing.
- Execute specialist tasks such as media trimming, computerized mount cutting, and decorative paper or fabric applications.
- Manage assigned workshop projects from start to finish, tracking progress and deadlines.
- Flag issues early and coordinate resources to maintain smooth production flow.
- Perform thorough checks at every stage to ensure all finished goods meet specification and quality standards before dispatch.
- Monitor stock levels, raise purchase requests, and manage ordering of materials and consumables.
- Work closely with Project Management, Design, Print, and Logistics teams to meet deadlines and improve processes.
- Identify opportunities to refine workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 for documentation and planning.
- Experience in picture framing or a similar hands‑on creative production environment.
- Practical problem‑solving skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Proactive, dependable, and highly self‑motivated.
- Calm under pressure with a strong focus on quality and deadlines.
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean, tidy, and well‑organised workspace.
- Eager to learn and develop new skills.
- A team player with a positive, helpful attitude.
