Community-first tech recruiter for UK founders | Honest hiring | Fair fees (106 Monthly) | Warks. Dev | Founders Lunch Club | No One Teaches You This…Every Friday, your job is to stop doing your job.
(Well, your regular job anyway.)
📍 Leamington Spa (Hybrid – Weds–Fri in the office)
No sponsorship offered – UK-based applicants only
That’s because Fridays here are R&D days. Not a ‘when-we-have-time’ thing. Not a gimmick. Every single Friday, the team down tools on client work and dive into experimenting with new tech, testing ideas, building internal tools or just sharpening their dev skills. Lately, that’s included team AI showcases and a few side projects that might just turn into spin-off products.
You’ll be joining a tech-led agency (not just a sales-led one with devs bolted on), with a CTO who still writes code and a founder who’s been in software engineering for over two decades. The team is sociable, collaborative and sharp – they work hard to do things the right way, not the rushed way.
The work?Mostly backend Laravel builds for SMEs who need better alternatives to expensive, bloated software like SAP or Dynamics. Clients want systems that actually fit their business – not systems they have to bend themselves around. You’ll get stuck into projects across sectors, from short-term sprints to 18-month enterprise-scale systems.
What are they after?A solid Laravel developer. Not necessarily someone with X years of experience – just someone competent, curious, and capable of hitting the ground running. Agency experience is helpful, but not essential. What matters is that you know how to write clean, scalable code – and you’re keen to keep learning.
Progression? Up to you. You’ll shape your own path – whether that’s tech leadership, solution architecture, or just becoming a go-to senior dev without the people management bit. They promote from within and give you room to breathe before trying to shove you up a ladder.
Other perks:- R&D Fridays (did we mention that already?)
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday off
- Flexible hybrid working
- Apple kit, Laravel certification support
- Entrepreneurial incubation scheme if you've got startup ideas of your own
🚫 No sponsorship available – applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
