As Senior Environment Artist, working alongside the Art Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the worlds we create delight our players with the highest quality visuals that provide the settings for memorable experiences. You have an eye for detail and composition that enables you to make environments feel believable, taking pride in all the work you and your team do.

You ensure quality by supporting and mentoring the environment artist team, helping to build a healthy culture where everyone can excel.

Key Duties Include
  • Create and Implement High-Quality Environments:
    Develop 3D models and textures for diverse terrains, geology and water bodies (rivers, lakes, oceans) that align with the game’s artistic vision and technical constraints
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines:
    Work closely with the Art Director, Game Designers, and Technical Artists to ensure environments are visually compelling, gameplay-optimized, and adhere to performance standards
  • Leverage Advanced Tools and Techniques:
    Utilize industry-standard tools (e.g., Gaea, World Machine, Houdini) and procedural content generation methods (e.g., Unreal PCG, Houdini) to efficiently create scalable, high-quality environments
  • Mentor and Guide the Environment Art Team:
    Provide leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level artists, maintaining a high standard of quality and fostering a culture of creativity and excellence
  • Participate in critiques and reviews of environment art on‑going work, providing constructive feedback and ensuring they meet the needs of both the game design and artistic vision
Desirable
  • Unreal Engine

    Experience:

    Extensive experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5, including advanced features such as Nanite, Material creation, or Blueprints
  • World Game

    Experience:

    Previous experience in creating large-scale world environments
  • Photogrammetry:
    Experience in photogrammetry for capturing, processing, and creating terrain and geological assets
