As a Gameplay Animator, you will collaborate closely with designers, programmers, and artists to ensure that animations are aligned with gameplay mechanics and contribute to high-quality player experiences. Your creativity and technical skills will be vital in bringing our game characters and environments to life.

The key requirement is strong experience in gameplay animation, motion-capture cleanup, and biped and/or facial animation. We are looking for someone who enjoys creating animations and implementing them in-engine, with a strong sense for realism and the judgement to apply hand-keyed animation where it enhances the overall quality and appeal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Craft high-quality gameplay animations that are responsive to player input and enhance the overall gameplay feel.
  • Work with designers to conceptualise and implement animation systems that align with game design.
  • Iterate on animations based on feedback and testing, ensuring smooth transitions and realistic movements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to integrate animations into the game engine effectively, addressing any technical challenges.
  • Stay current with industry trends and techniques, sharing insights to improve the animation process.
  • 2+ years of professional animation experience in the video game industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing gameplay animations, preferably in action or adventure games.
  • Proficiency in animation software such as Maya and/or Blender.
  • Experience working with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
  • Solid understanding of animation principles, including timing, weight, and character movement.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, taking direction and providing constructive feedback.
  • A passion for gaming and a keen eye for detail in animation quality.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Mel is a plus.
  • 25 Days Holiday, plus 1 day for your birthday
  • Studio Shutdown between Christmas and New Year
  • Discretionary Bonus Scheme
  • Private Pension Scheme
  • Private Healthcare
  • Health and Well-Being Benefits
  • Dental Care
