About the home

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join Oak Tree House, our Children’s Home in Leamington Spa, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. This is a four‑bed Children’s home for children aged 8‑17 years. It is a therapeutic approach home designed to provide a nurturing, trauma‑informed environment where children and young people feel safe, valued, and supported to develop and thrive. Our home is warm, welcoming, and tastefully furnished to create a sense of comfort and security.

the role
  • Provide strong leadership and support to the team, ensuring therapeutic care is at the heart of everything we do.
  • Work collaboratively to create a safe, stable, and child‑centred environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Care Standards, and safeguarding policies.
  • Support the Registered Manager in staff development, supervision, and performance management.
  • Lead by example in delivering trauma‑informed, relationship‑based care.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all statutory requirements are met.
  • Participate in the on‑call duty system and oversee day‑to‑day operations.
Key Requirements
  • Experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker in a Children’s Home.
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of therapeutic and trauma‑informed approaches.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
