Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer /
Senior Principal Systems Engineer
. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

• Designs and develops key capabilities and performance requirements for the Guidance Computer (GC).
• Defines design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with customer specifications.
• Develops thorough definition of system external interfaces.
• Defines system implementation approach and operational concept.
• Ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer.

• Principal Engineer Systems: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline from an accredited university plus 5 years related experience OR Master's Degree plus 3 years related experience.
• Sr Principal Engineer Systems: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline from an accredited university plus 8 years related experience OR Master's Degree plus 6 years related experience.
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

• Experience working on an Agile team.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience with Engineering Requirements Management Tools (i.e. DOORS).
• Experience with MBSE Management Tools (i.e. Cameo Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody).
• Experience with Electronics Design and verification
• Mature requirements definition experience including definition of verification plans.
• Understanding of the following specialty areas: nuclear surety, cybersecurity, flight safety.
• Strong experience in System Engineering (SE) process, including SE experience across multiple levels of integration for a DoD/Aerospace program.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $ Secondary Level Salary Range: $ - $ The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
