Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Systems Integration and Principal Test Engineer / Test Engineer to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be permanently located in Roy, UT
, supporting the Test Planning & Execution (TP&E) team within the System Test Team (STT) IPT.
- Working knowledge of Test Planning
- Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints
- Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems
- Coordinates integrated testing activities
- Reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of test program
- Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations
- Develops, plans and executes Acceptance Test plans, as well as Audits and Reviews
- Use and/or application of technical principles, theories, and concepts. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform professional tasks
- Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), CAMEO SW, DOORS SW
- Working Knowledge of AGILE in a System Test Environment

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Basic Qualifications- For T02:
Bachelors in Science in a STEM field and 2 years of system testing experience, or 1 year with a Masters (In lieu of a degree, must have 6 years of qualify‑able, related professional/military experience to include a background in a system test environment) or an Associate’s degree and 4 years of qualify‑able, related professional/military experience to include a background in a system test environment - For T03 (Principal):
Bachelors in Science in a STEM field and 5 years of system testing experience, or 3 years with a Masters, or 1 year with a PhD (In lieu of a degree, must have 9 years of qualify‑able, related professional/military experience to include a background in a system test environment) or an Associate’s degree and 7 years of qualify‑able, related professional/military experience to include a background in a system test environment - US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)
- Knowledge of system integration and test principles
- Experience developing Test Plans and Test Procedures
- Understanding/ Experience developing Test Plans and Test Procedures
- Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), CAMEO SW, DOORS SW
- Working Knowledge of AGILE in a System Test Environment
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) curriculum
- Previous test experience at any level of build (unit, element, segment, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience with system integration and test principles and processes
