The position is located in Roy, Utah and supports a restricted program within Advanced Programs.

What

You Will Do
  • Lead Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) team under the direction of the program lead systems engineer for a restricted capture effort.
  • Coordinate development of multi‑physics models across disciplines that feed overall mission‑level effectiveness simulation, including coordinating across multiple security levels.
  • Responsible for the schedule for development of models that feed overall mission‑level effectiveness simulation.
  • Responsible for developing the technical baseline of the mission‑level effectiveness model.
  • Perform assessments of mission effectiveness and use results to inform milestone reviews.
  • Perform Design‑of‑Experiments (DOE) studies at the mission‑level and apply statistical post‑processing methods to extract useful information to inform system requirements development.
  • Contribute to development of system models across various disciplines.
  • Routinely out‑brief Executive Leadership Team on program MS&A progress/status (technical, schedule, staffing, etc.).
  • Negotiate/deconflict support staffing with programs of competing priority; liaise program needs for MS&A to support organizations.
  • Manage hardware and software resources for execution of MS&A tools/environments.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) with at least 12 years of related experience (10 years with a master’s; 8 years with a PhD).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last six years.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
  • Experience with mission‑level simulation and analysis (Red vs. Blue, e.g., ITASE, AFSIM, HLA Federations, etc.).
  • Fluent in one or more object‑oriented programming language (Python, C++, etc.).
  • Experience performing large‑scale DOE studies and performing post‑processing to extract useful information (variance decomposition, bootstrap sampling, etc.).
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Linux‑based High‑Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
  • Experience developing/deploying distributed simulations or several single‑threaded simulations in‑parallel.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly pick‑up new concepts and physics.
  • Experience with Git.
  • Experience leading junior engineers to achieve technical objectives.
  • Experience writing proposals for capture efforts.

Standard work schedule is 9/80 (nine‑hour day Monday–Thursday, alternate Friday off). Competitive relocation assistance package may be offered. Primary level salary range: $ – $.
