- Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Schedule:
Full-time, 3/12-hour shifts - Supervise and coordinate daily ED activities during the night shift, ensuring successful and safe delivery of patient care.
- Make patient assignments, manage patient flow, and serve as a clinical resource for staff.
- Foster an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. Provide coaching, guidance, and support to nursing staff.
- Monitor patient care quality and appropriateness, rounding on patients as needed. Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Manage bed flow and availability, consult with house supervisors, and participate in staffing decisions. Ensure efficient use of resources and support during census surges.
- Uphold all safety and quality standards, including TJC Patient Safety Goals. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Function with decisive composure during emergencies, utilizing advanced clinical skills to support staff and patients.

Emergency Department - Patient Ratios: 4:1 (with surge up to 5:1)
- Number of Beds: 20 beds
- Department Specifics:
Level 3 Trauma Center, Chest Pain Accredited Center, Stroke Receiving Center - Environment:
Fast-paced, high-acuity setting with strong leadership support for learning and mentoring
- Current RN license (Texas or Compact State)
- Current BLS certification (within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department RN experience
- Minimum 2 years of Charge RN or leadership experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. - ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, and decision‑making abilities. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team‑building skills. Ability to function effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.
