Personal Attendant / Caregiver - Rowlett, TX

Job Summary

The functions of a personal attendant / caregiver are to provide personal assistance to clients in their homes, help maintain a safe and clean environment, work closely with clients and their family members, and report problems and observations directly to the supervisor.

Job Qualifications

Education: High School or GED preferred

Licensure: Must have a driver’s license or reliable transportation to travel to assignments.

Experience: At least 18 years old; must provide proof of education and/or experience to perform tasks.

Skills: Able to read and write in English; capable of following verbal and written instructions in English.

Transportation: Reliable transportation; valid auto liability insurance.

Criminal History: Must consent to and pass criminal history and misconduct registry checks.

Environment and Working Conditions: Working in clients' residences may involve exposure to body fluids, infectious diseases, and weather conditions. Must be flexible with schedules and willing to travel locally.

Physical and Mental Effort: Ability to stand and walk for long hours, work under stress, lift up to 50 pounds, and transfer clients. Manual dexterity and ability to operate medical equipment are necessary.
