Laboratory Technician; Chemistry

Lab is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician in Chemistry for its branch located in Rouyn-Noranda. Reporting to the Chemistry Laboratory Manager, the selected candidate will perform tasks related to standardized analyses.

Analyzereceivedenvironmentalsamples,prepare solutions,operateandmaintainlaboratoryinstruments. Thetechnicianwillalsoperformqualitycontrol checksin accordancewithstandardizedprotocols.

• Enterresultsintothe Laboratory Information  Management System (LIMS)

• Education in a discipline related to analytical laboratory activities (DEC or AEC) – Mandatory
• Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline related to analytical laboratory activities (chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, etc.)

• One (1) yearoflaboratoryexperience(Preferred)
• Experiencewithanalyticalinstrumentssuchas ICP-MS or GC-MS (Asset)
• Accuracy and attention todetail
• Responsible and reliable
• Proficiencywithlaboratoryequipment
• Autonomy
• Planning andorganizationalskills
