** Your role
** Radio-Canada’s Abitibi-Témiscamingue station is seeking a Video journalist based in Rouyn-Noranda. You will report to the Senior Manager, French Services in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
We are looking for a qualified individual with strong storytelling skills, able to develop story ideas, pitch, research, produce, and present content across all Radio-Canada platforms, as well as shoot and edit video. The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a high level of autonomy. The incumbent works well under pressure, conducts their own research and gathering, shapes content, and presents material confidently across multiple platforms.
** The schedule is variable, and the successful candidate must be able to travel throughout the coverage area.
** She or he will bring original ideas and solutions to our news programs and demonstrate strong skills in preparing reports for our newscasts. The incumbent will be responsible for editing their own content, may be required to contribute to other platforms, and must work a flexible schedule, often independently.

*** A combination of education and experience equivalent to a university degree with more than three (3) years of relevant hands-on experience, or a college diploma with more than five (5) years of relevant hands-on experienceangu experience

* Strong interviewing skills
* Ability to write clearly and concisely
* Ability to generate original story ideas and apply creative approaches to storytelling
* Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines and frequent unplanned overtime
* Flexibility to collaborate regularly on radio programs, national television, and web platforms
* A valid driver’s licence
* Creativity in problem-solving
* Strong creativity, imagination, motivation, and entrepreneurial spirit
* Excellent interpersonal skills
