Senior Software Test Professional
If you are a Senior Software Test professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you in our Round Rock, TX office. This is a hands‑on testing role working across all parts of the Delta
V MES platform. You will be responsible for testing the design, build, and integrated software that is deployed to meet our customer needs. This role interacts closely with senior developers, senior architects, and front‑end/back‑end team members and should be able to provide technical direction on complex or large testing efforts. It includes supporting existing clients on new features, testing new features/enhancements, participating in architecture sessions with our senior engineers, creating documentation, and designing software tests that verify the integrations between Delta
V MES and other Delta
V systems.
- Test software collaboratively with developers and testers.
- Design, write, and execute automated test cases using industry‑standard frameworks and tools to ensure high‑quality releases.
- Help others determine what is relevant and what is not in complex situations.
- Foster a creative atmosphere and work with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Marketing to support development and test needs. Participate in agile activities such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Quickly understand and evaluate a complex and evolving software system.
- Develop and implement test automation for Delta
V MES products. - Provide technical leadership and support the creation of complex software tests.
- BS in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any STEM‑related course.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- 2+ years of experience with Selenium Web Driver and unit‑test frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest) for browser automation.
- Experience setting up testing environments and troubleshooting configuration issues.
- Good communication skills.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future. (U.S. citizens or Green Card holders only.)
- Desire to focus on software testing and quality assurance.
- 4+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware®.
- Knowledge of Agile frameworks and methodologies.
- Familiarity with web service development and APIs.
- Excellent communication skills.
