Who You Are

You are an experienced and collaborative software engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and building reliable, high quality applications. You bring strong technical expertise in modern web, mobile, and cloud based technologies, along with a solid understanding of application development best practices. You are comfortable working in an agile environment, partnering with business and technical stakeholders, and taking ownership of your work from design through production support.

You are detail oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement, whether that means enhancing application performance, addressing production issues, or contributing to team knowledge through code reviews and collaboration. Most importantly, you value building solutions that support organizational goals and deliver meaningful impact to end users.

Location

This is a hybrid position with two required in‑office days per week. The role is based in our Round Rock, Texas office. Interviews for this position will be conducted onsite.

Job Summary

Software Engineer III serves as a key member of the Distributed Applications team with primary responsibility for designing, developing and maintaining Web, Mobile, artificial intelligence (AI)/ machine learning (ML), and Legacy applications. This role develops, implements, and maintains IT applications using modern development technologies and tools, and involves close collaboration with Solution Architects, developers, and business stakeholders to analyze business requirements, participate in design sessions, and develop application features.

Additionally, the Software Engineer III researches and addresses technical issues and requests, identifies root causes, and resolves production problems.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software features for web, mobile, and AI applications.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment with flexibility to work independently.
  • Provide ongoing support for business applications in production through on-call rotation.
  • Implement Dev Ops practices (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery / Deployment (CI/CD), containerization with Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Integrate AI/ML frameworks and develop data pipelines (Kafka, Spark).
  • Write and automate test scripts; participate in code reviews and performance optimization.
  • Research emerging technologies and propose solutions to improve processes.
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, application standards and application performance reviews
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during the design, testing and maintenance processes using problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in team meetings, code reviews, requirements analysis, design meetings etc. using productivity tools like O365, Copilot, Teams, Jira, Confluence etc.
