As an Operations Generalist, you ensure merchandising and inventory strategies are executed across the Pet Care Center using Petco processes. You oversee efficient operations, manage the truck, stock shelves, clean, and handle register transactions to deliver an excellent experience for guests and their pets. Passion for animal welfare and teamwork are essential.

• Maintain and inventory the entire Pet Care Center.
• Stock, price, and display merchandise to create an appealing presentation for guests.
• Process register transactions to create a great guest experience.
• Be proficient in our selling model and support guest interactions as needed.
• Support animal care procedures to maintain pet health.
• Complete and apply training programs to maintain a high level of expertise.
• Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
• Adhere to operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to the Leader on Duty as needed.
• Utilize selling behaviors to provide an amazing guest experience.
• Maintain safety protocols and contribute to a safe environment.
• Engage in collaborative culture focused on pet health and wellness.
• Participate in developmental programs for career growth.

• Minimum high‑school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Proficiency in mathematics and above‑average communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor with a genuine interest in animals and their care.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills for public interaction.

In addition to a high school diploma or GED, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in mathematics, basic accounting relationships, and excellent communication skills.

The majority of duties are conducted indoors; merchandise receiving, carrying, or balancing may require leaving the store briefly. Position requires bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for long periods. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.
