Responsibilities

The Sales Support Associate role is an integral part of the store’s overall success and efficiency. Below are key duties organized by operational zone.

Cash Wrap
  • Greet customers with a smile, eye contact, and offer your name.
  • Interact genuinely and naturally with each customer.
  • Read cues to determine customers’ needs.
  • Capture email or name where permitted by law.
  • Maintain accuracy when operating POS.
  • Keep the cash wrap organized and clean.
  • Suggest multiple add‑ons and sell gift cards.
  • Adhere to Coach policy when handling cash and POS media.
  • Thank the customer sincerely and provide a reason to return.
  • Represent the Coach brand appropriately.
Stockroom / Warehouse
  • Receive shipment and transfers.
  • Notify Store Management when new product arrives.
  • Scan cartons or transfers, verifying store information is correct.
  • Communicate all discrepancies to Store Management.
  • Process shipment or transfers per Coach standards and time frames.
  • Organize and clean the stockroom daily; include off‑site or remote warehouse as applicable.
  • Shift or organize product in the stockroom, reacting to sell through and make room for new product.
  • Manage stock levels and product ownership in back‑of‑house and sales floor.
  • Prepare and conduct regular cycle counts as directed.
  • Participate in store physical inventory counts as scheduled.
  • Maintain Company Loss Prevention standards.
Sales Floor
  • Regularly analyze the sales floor to assess replenishment needs.
  • Replenish sales floor or assigned zone.
  • React to sell through and execute visual merchandising needs.
  • Support sales floor activities as directed.
  • Communicate information about price points, features/benefits, color and stock availability to customers.
  • Respond to customer requests confidently; partner with sales team or Store Management when needed.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards.
Additional Requirements
  • Experience: 1–3 years of previous retail experience (cashier/stock/​sales), preferably in a luxury retail service environment. Current knowledge of fashion trends and marketplace competition.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Technical: Knowledge of cash register systems, basic computer skills (including iPad/laptop, Mobile POS and Internet), use of walkie‑talkie, and ability to read price and product release sheets.
  • Physical: Ability to work at a fast pace; lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds sometimes; maneuver between sales floor, shelves, and stockroom.
  • Schedule: Flexible for nights, weekends, holidays, and high‑traffic sales days.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Pay Range: $15.00 to $19.00 per hour.
