Retail Sales Associate

Overview

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time retail sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The role partners with the entire store staff to ensure exceptional customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. Associates greet, engage, and assist customers with sales, loans, and other transactions while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

• Greet and interact with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Execute sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items following established policies.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers, demonstrating respect and effective communication.
• Create a positive and memorable customer experience with all employees.
• Complete required training successfully.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Open to performing duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• Available to assist customers on the exterior of the building or in exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and work in a team environment.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work in multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
