Medication Aide Responsibilities Include

• Setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed
• Providing personal hygiene assistance (bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, shaves); assisting with bathroom travel; helping with showers and baths
• Assisting with activities of daily living including serving meals, feeding residents, ambulating, turning and positioning, providing water and nourishment between meals
• Maintaining patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in STATE as a Medication Aide, and must maintain current and unencumbered licensure
