Master Data Management Director (Supply Chain Analytics) – Job Description

Job Title:

Master Data Management Director

Location:

Round Rock, TX (Hybrid - requires 3 days/week in-office and residency within 50 minutes of Temple, TX)

• MDM Strategy & Architecture:
  Own the enterprise MDM roadmap define future-state data architecture, domains, governance, integration, and stewardship.
• Platform Oversight:
  Lead design and hands-on oversight of MDM platforms (e.g. Syndigo/Riversand, Informatica MDM or equivalent), including data models, master-data hierarchies, matching/merging logic, survivorship rules, validations, and metadata.
• Systems Integration:
  Architect integration flows determine how MDM interacts with middleware (APIs, ESBs, messaging) and ensure master data propagates correctly to ERP, supply-chain, merchandising, e-commerce and analytics systems.
• Data Operations:
  Manage data migrations and onboarding of legacy/third-party data; establish and enforce data cleansing, harmonization and unification processes.
• Team Leadership:
  Build and lead a high-performing MDM/data-governance team (data stewards, architects, engineers), mentoring junior staff.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with business stakeholders (merchandising, supply-chain, finance, digital teams) to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Governance & Quality:
  Define and implement data governance frameworks, stewardship responsibilities, data-quality standards (KPIs, monitoring, remediation) and metadata/lineage management.

• Education & Experience:
  
  Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management or related. 10+ years experience in data management/architecture with at least 5 years leading enterprise MDM programs.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Hands-on expertise with MDM tools (Informatica MDM or similar; familiarity with Syndigo/Riversand). Strong understanding of integration architectures (APIs, ESBs, event/message systems) and how MDM ties into ERP, supply-chain, e-commerce and analytics applications.
• Leadership:
  Proven leadership and stakeholder-management skills; experience coordinating cross-functional teams and vendor partners on large data programs.
• Domain Knowledge:
  Preferred experience in retail, distribution, manufacturing, CPG or other supply-chain-heavy environments. Knowledge of e-commerce or merchandising data domains is a plus.
