Overview

Houseperson role at MCR Hotels – Home2 Suites Austin Round Rock. This position supports cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and teamwork to maintain a welcoming hotel environment.

• Luggage handling: store and retrieve luggage or packages for guests as needed.
• Cleaning and trash management: clean and maintain guest hallways, stairwells, service areas and ice rooms; collect trash from exterior receptacles, parking lot, pool area and common grounds; deliver trash and soiled linen to the laundry; keep front and back of house areas organized and clean.
• Furniture upkeep: monitor public space furniture and report issues.
• Restocking: maintain stock in linen closets and guest amenities; replenish in guestrooms; stock and maintain housekeeping cart.

• Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow guidelines and procedures; handle pace and pressure.
• Strong listening, conflict resolution, and communication skills; hospitality and guest service orientation.
• Age 18 or older; willingness to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Punctuality: clock in/out on time; take scheduled breaks; provide notice when calling out.
• Physical demands: ability to perform duties such as stooping, standing, walking, lifting and other related activities.
