Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) to join our Radiology Department at BSW Round Rock Medical Center. This PRN role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging for both ambulatory and hospital patients in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Radiologic Technologist
, you will perform X-ray exams following physician orders and established imaging protocols, ensuring accurate diagnostic results and exceptional patient care.
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiology (X-ray) procedures according to established protocols.
- Maintain consistent imaging quality, proper positioning, and accurate exposure techniques.
- Communicate with patients using AIDET principles to build rapport and ensure comfort.
- Prepare exam rooms and position patients correctly for safe and effective imaging.
- Adhere to all radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique policies.
- Monitor and maintain imaging equipment; report issues promptly and ensure full operational readiness.
- Manage documentation including requisitions, patient history, and exam records in PACS and EMR systems.
- Ensure patient safety through proper screening, pregnancy verification, and shielding practices.
- Provide timely, accurate, and patient-centered service in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in call rotation as needed.

- Education:
Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program - Experience:
Less than 1 year required; hospital experience preferred - Certification/Licensure:
- ARRT (R) – Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiography
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)
- BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in high-volume environments
