Tax Preparer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tax Preparer to join our in-office team. The ideal candidate has at least two years of tax preparation experience and thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment. This role requires accuracy, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple client files during peak tax periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently
• Review financial documents and verify information for completeness
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates
• Identify eligible tax credits, deductions, and opportunities for savings
• Maintain organized, compliant, and confidential client records
• Work cooperatively with team members to ensure timely completion of returns

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of tax preparation experience
• Experience with Drake Tax Software preferred
• Strong understanding of current tax laws and filing requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work fully in-office; this is not a remote position
