Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our progressive and dynamic fast-pacedenterprise and device controls automation team.

This is a hands-ontechnicalrole that will directly contribute to the development and expansion of our cutting-edge,cloud-connected

IoT applications and offerings with the latesthardwareandsoftware technologies and tools.

You will be part of our fast-growinginnovative technology design centerlocatedin Round Rock, TX, a hi-tech hub north of Austin.

We are looking for a talented and creative problem solvertodesign ourproducts’ enclosures and sub-assemblies. You will be involved in the completehardwaredevelopment life cycle,fromproduct conceptto deployment in the field. This will require astrongtechnical background and ahigh degree of collaborationamonghighly talented, cross-functional,andgeographically disperseddevelopment teams. You will work closely with industry-best product owners,hardware and softwareengineers,andotherdevelopmentteam members to understand the business needs, propose and develop end-to-end solutions.

• Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex mechanical systems
• Create mechanical designsofelectronicenclosuresforlightingand building automation control systemsforindoor and outdoor use
• Evaluate design tradeoffsand develop execution plansto meet allproductgoals
• Propose and implementdesign changes forreliability improvement and cost savings
• Create andmaintainmechanical design documentation
• Perform design feasibility analysisleveraging
  
  CAD rendering, 3D printing,mold flow analysis,and prototyperuns
• Coordinatemanufacturing plants,contractmanufacturersand suppliers to get quotations and release designs to production
• Support new products through release to manufacturing and field deployment
• Research, assess and adapt tonew technologiesnecessary for future enhancements of products
• Protect intellectual property through patent disclosures and applications
• Supportsustaining activities for existing products as necessary
• Provide cost and schedule estimates to supportmanagingprojecttimelines
• Verify completed components forfitand functionality
• Work with Marketing to develop industrial design and product look andfeel for new products
• Meet regularly with the project teams tosyncup on deliverables and provide progress updates

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineeringfroman accredited university
• 5or more yearsofmechanicaldesignexperience
• 5or moreyears ofhands-on experience designing mechanical parts forinjection molding,sheetmetalandmechanical cable components
• Proficiency in at least onemechanical CAD tool– On Shape, Solid Works, etc.
• Hands-on knowledge ofvariousplastic and metal manufacturingtechnologies
• Proven track recordof collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Self-driven withgoodsense of initiative

• 5or moreyearsofexperiencedesigning consumer or large volume commercial products
• Experience working with contract manufacturers andthird-party vendors
• Experience with Commercial and Industrial lighting control systems
• Working knowledge of
  
  GDT(Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing), PDM(Product Data Management), SAP

• Working knowledge ofengineeringbest-practices,methodologies,processes,and technologies
• Expert ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills tosolvecomplexhardwaredesign challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability tosupport andinfluencetechnical decisions
• Ability to workboth independently and within a team

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $100,000-$125,000.
