Electrical Estimator

Full‑time position at Doota Industrial America, LLC.

Location: Round Rock, Texas, United States

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret job plans and specifications to develop accurate takeoffs and prepare bids for commercial and industrial electrical projects.
  • Write detailed proposals for bid submission and clarify bid documents, preparing RFIs.
  • Provide post‑bid follow‑up to negotiate scope, pricing, and value engineering with clients.
  • Work with vendors to ensure multiple bids for requested materials.
  • Interact with the construction team and company president as needed throughout the project.
  • Create, manage, and track change orders effectively.
  • Keep well‑organized bid documents and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Attend client meetings throughout Central Texas and work independently.
Qualifications
  • Electrical estimating experience, ideally in telecommunications or a related industry.
  • Proficient in reading plans and specifications, with strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Accubid).
  • Familiarity with pricing and estimation software tools, local/state/federal regulations, and codes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid mathematical and analytical abilities with attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities and adaptability to changing project requirements.
Preferred Certifications
  • Safety‑related credentials such as NESC, OSHA, ANSI, or other certifications.
