About the RoleRound Rock ISD is building a pool of exceptional campus leaders who are inspired by possibility and committed to student success. The Principal Talent Pool provides qualified candidates the opportunity to be considered for future principal openings as they arise across the district.
Applicants should indicate the campus level(s) of interest (Elementary, Middle, or High School) in their cover letter. A resume and cover letter are required.

Key Responsibilities Include Talent Development- Lead recruitment, placement, supervision, and evaluation of staff
- Foster leadership capacity through mentorship and distributed responsibilities
- Provide meaningful feedback and professional development
- Recognize employee contributions and ensure effective onboarding
- Implement high-quality, research-based instructional strategies
- Guide data-driven decision-making and collaborative goal setting
- Ensure equitable learning experiences and effective integration of technology
- Supervise curriculum design and instructional delivery campus-wide
- Use data to identify priorities and monitor progress toward goals
- Oversee campus budgets, staffing, scheduling, and compliance
- Ensure campus safety, emergency preparedness, and efficient facilities management
- Promote a culture of high expectations, inclusivity, and continuous improvement
- Engage parents, PTA, volunteers, and community partners in school life
- Celebrate student and staff accomplishments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with civic and business leaders
- Facilitate two-way communication to foster transparency and trust
- Master’s Degree in Educational Administration or related field
- Experience in school leadership (e.g., Assistant Principal, Associate Principal, Principal, or comparable roles)
- Strong leadership, instructional, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of TEA, UIL, and state/federal education guidelines
- Skilled in data analysis, coaching, strategic planning, and conflict resolution
