Job Title: Assistant Director
Location: Huntington Learning Center - Round Rock
Position Type: Full-time (In-Center Only)
Compensation: $40,000–$50,000 including bonus structure and benefits
About Huntington Learning CenterFounded in 1977 by Dr. Raymond and Eileen Huntington, Huntington Learning Center is the nation’s longest-running provider of supplemental education services. At our Cedar Park/North Austin and Round Rock, TX locations, we provide individualized academic support for K–12 students, including:
- Academic skill building in reading, writing, math, and study skills
- Subject tutoring across a range of grade levels and content areas
- SAT/ACT and standardized test preparation

We’re looking for a driven, organized, and people-focused Assistant Center Director to help manage daily operations and support our admin team. You’ll be a key point of contact for families—keeping them informed, addressing their needs, and making sure their students are making real progress.
This is a fast-paced, multitasking role where you’ll wear many hats—from managing schedules and systems to working directly with students and parents. You'll join a passionate team committed to creating a positive, productive learning environment for all.
What You’ll Do Student & Family Experience- Deliver one-on-one or small-group instruction in reading, writing, and math
- Build strong relationships with students and families
- Answer phones, respond to texts and emails, and manage walk-in inquiries
- Handle customer service concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Take tuition payments and explain program details to families
- Facilitate new student onboarding and ensure consistent, high-quality service throughout the student life cycle
- Manage daily schedules for students and teachers, adapting quickly to last-minute changes
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, assessments, and tuition status
- Process and track tuition payments and monthly invoices
- Monitor office inventory and manage supplies
- Assist with student behavior management as needed
- Help recruit and onboard new staff, and provide ongoing support to teachers
- Participate in marketing initiatives and local outreach events
- Conduct regular student progress check-ins and communicate updates to other admins
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
- Prior experience in education, tutoring, customer service, business admin, or related fields
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Able to switch between tasks and manage interruptions gracefully
- Professionalism, warmth, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Tech-savviness and ease navigating multiple systems
- Comfortable navigating multiple digital platforms, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Outlook, Calendly, payment processors, and internal proprietary systems
