This role requires expert-level communication, organization, and critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter capable of managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that programs are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget while maintaining clear communication across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities- Lead cross-functional scientific and technical teams through all phases of project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Resolve complex technical and programmatic challenges through development of project plans, resourcing plans, and budgets.
- Drive accountability for team performance, project execution, and budget adherence.
- Communicate effectively across all functions and management levels, providing regular program updates and status reports.
- Identify, communicate, and manage project risks, including development of mitigation and contingency plans.
- Manage all financial aspects of assigned projects, including capital expenditures and functional expenses.
- Anticipate and resolve conflicts to achieve positive outcomes and maintain team alignment.
- Apply best-practice project management methodologies (such as PMBOK) and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Promote continuous improvement in organizational program execution and team effectiveness.
- Lead core teams to identify and implement process and performance improvements.
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Science discipline preferred); MS/MBA strongly desired.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading large-scale, multi-site, or global programs in the medical products or medical device industry.
- At least 34 years of dedicated project management experience.
- Experience with EU MDR regulations is a plus.
- Expertise in all aspects of project and program management.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive team performance.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple sites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation experience.
- Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and product development processes.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
- Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as MS Project.
- Ability to create and maintain detailed project documentation (timelines, minutes, status reports, etc.).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
