Do you have experience turning messy, multi-source data into trusted, business-critical insights? Have you implemented CI/CD, versioning, or deployment pipelines for BI?
We are looking for a BI Developer to design reliable data models, build and optimise ETL pipelines and interactive dashboards, and turn complex datasets into trusted, actionable insights for the business.
Tasks & Responsibilities- Design, build, test, and document BI reports and dashboards that support decision-making.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specs and scalable BI solutions.
- Develop and optimise star/snowflake data models and semantic layers.
- Create, schedule, and monitor ETL/ELT processes to ensure accurate, timely data.
- Improve performance and usability of existing reports, datasets, and queries.
- Analyse data and present insights with clear storytelling and visual best practices.
- Ensure data quality, lineage, security, and compliance with governance standards.
- Proactively troubleshoot data/refresh issues and drive root‑cause fixes.
- Standardise KPIs/definitions and contribute to a reusable analytics framework.
- Mentor junior developers and share best practices across the team.
- Stay current on BI tools, features, and industry trends; recommend improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data/Analytics, or similar (Master's a plus!).
- 7+ years in BI/analytics, including 3+ years in senior/lead responsibilities.
- Strong SQL (queries, performance tuning) and solid ETL/ELT experience.
- Proficiency with a major BI platform (Power BI preferred; Tableau or Qlik also valued).
- Experience modeling data (star/snowflake), building semantic models, and DAX/MDX (if Power BI).
- Working knowledge of Python or R for data preparation and analysis.
- Proven track record in data governance: data quality, security, lineage, and documentation.
- Comfortable engaging stakeholders, gathering requirements, and managing change.
- Clear communicator with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Data Analyst/Power BI, CBIP, AWS Data Analytics) are a plus!
