As a Chief Engineer you are responsible for management of all operations and maintenance in the Engine Room on board of our vessels.

You manage the engine room team on a daily basis and keep close contact with the technical department in order to keep your engine room in optimal condition. Next to planning operational maintenance, you are responsible for the preparation of repair periods.

You are able to do risk assessments in case of unexpected circumstances and advise Vessel/ Fleet Management in a constructive and proactive manner. As part of the management team on board you are responsible for the development and assessment of the engineers working in your team.

Requirements and preferences

• Next to all mandatory STCW training, we require:
• Advanced Gas Tanker certificate
• Good command of English language
• Experience with mixed nationality crew
