Our client is seeking a Medior Mechanical Engineer with 4–8 years of experience to join their Offshore & Energy division, with a primary focus on the design phase of complex multidisciplinary projects. This role places you at the core of developing detailed specifications and engineering packages for mechanical systems that will operate in demanding offshore environments.

You will be responsible for the design and specification of key mechanical equipment including pumps, generator sets, pressure vessels, firefighting systems, cranes, davits, and auxiliary machinery. Your main tasks involve preparing inquiry requisition documents (specifications and data sheets), defining design requirements, and working closely with instrumentation and other disciplines to align interface boundaries from the outset of each project.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4–8 years of mechanical engineering experience
• Strong background in the design phase of engineering projects, including development of technical specifications and inquiry requisitions
• Familiarity with mechanical systems such as pumps, compressors, cranes, firefighting equipment, and pressure vessels
• Experience with interdisciplinary coordination and IDC processes
• Solid understanding of international codes and standards
• Able to translate complex technical requirements into clear, structured engineering documentation
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with a proactive mindset
• Fluent in English;
  Dutch proficiency is a plus
