ENG Bauen continues to support major European energy and industrial programmes, delivering critical work packages across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Industrial projects. We are working with a leading industrial and energy organisation to secure a Multi-Disciplined Construction Quantity Surveyor for a site-based role in Rotterdam.
This company is responsible for delivering large-scale construction projects across the Energy and Petrochemical sectors, combining technical excellence with operational precision. The role offers exposure to high-value, multi-discipline projects and the opportunity to contribute to critical project delivery.
The successful candidate will oversee cost control, quantity measurement, subcontractor management, and commercial risk throughout the construction lifecycle. This role is ideal for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with site-based experience, a strong understanding of Civil, Mechanical, and E&I construction works, and the ability to navigate FIDIC or equivalent contracts.
The Role
Coordinate with engineering disciplines to quantify construction activities and maintain accurate measurement and tracking.
Support subcontracting teams in bid preparation, Form of Tender, and contract documentation.
Undertake progress measurement, interim payments, and final bill settlements.
Lead risk analysis workshops and provide quantitative inputs to project forecasts and cost reporting.
Attend site meetings to monitor contractor progress, costs, and compensation events.
Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes and support cost control and project reporting.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality procedures on-site.
The Person
Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying; RICS certification preferred but not mandatory.
15+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction projects, ideally in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial sectors.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC or equivalent contracts, cost forecasting, risk management, and earned value principles.
Experienced in multi-discipline (Civil, Mechanical, E&I) construction works.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and liaise with clients and subcontractors.
Flexible and willing to travel internationally to regional engineering and project sites if required.
If you are a seasoned Quantity Surveyor looking to contribute to strategic industrial projects and gain long-term project visibility in Europe, please submit your CV here or directly through the ENG Bauen website.
