Tesco Shift Leader - Days - Rothwell Express

Join us as a Shift Leader at the Rothwell Express store. In this role you will support retail operations, lead your team and ensure customers receive an excellent experience.

Pay
:
Starting from £14.76 an hour, increasing to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply based on location.

Hours
: A minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with flexible options down to 12 hours per week. Availability windows are provided below and you will receive at least three weeks’ notice of your scheduled shifts.

• Sunday: 14:00 – 23:00
• Tuesday: 05:30 – 14:30
• Thursday: 11:00 – 19:00
• Friday: 14:00 – 23:00
• Saturday: 14:00 – 23:00

• Lead and coordinate shifts, ensuring a clean, well‑stocked store that meets customer expectations.
• Facilitate customer service, listening to customers and helping them leave satisfied.
• Coach the team, provide feedback and identify opportunities to improve service.
• Support colleague safety and create an inclusive, collaborative working environment.
• Maintain a clear understanding of store performance and assist managers with action plans.
• Act as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day queries when the manager is absent.

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Strong communication skills, able to keep the team informed.
• Leadership experience in a retail environment is desirable.
• Ability to make sound decisions under change and time pressure.
• Positive, motivating, and customer‑focused attitude.
