Swift Temps Ltd is currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 LGV Driver & Loaderto join the Waste and Recycling Collection Team supporting the local authority in the Rotherham area.

This is an excellent ongoing opportunity offering consistent work, a supportive team environment, and a structured full-time schedule.

You will be responsible for driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicleandassisting with the loading of domestic and commercial waste, working as part of a close-knit crew.

• Drive a Class 2 Refuse Collection Vehicle (RCV) on designated waste and recycling routes.
• Work as part of a small team to collect household and commercial waste and recyclables across the borough.
• Assist with manual loading and bin movements where required.
• Walk significant distances daily (approx. 810 miles) and carry out physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.
• Ensure safe and compliant vehicle operation in line with company and council procedures.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards when dealing with members of the public.
• Accurately record data on the in-cab Bartec system and report any issues such as contamination or missed collections.

• Minimum2 years Class 2 (Category
  
  C) driving experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence (with no more than 6 points).
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Physically fit and comfortable performing manual handling and loading duties.
• Previous experience in waste, recycling, or local authority driving is highly desirable.
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
