Quality Engineer

Location: Rotherham, Yorkshire

• Review of ISIR and FAIR reports prior to submission
• First point of contact for Customer quality concerns
• Support with investigations as required, for internal and external complaints and help to implement CAPA measures
• Compilation and submission of PPAP/FAI documents, as requested by customers
• Provide hands on inspection support as required (Absence/ Workload)
• Review and approval of concessions prior to submission to customers
• Where required, conduct and lead 8D investigation reports issued by QHSE Manager
• Where required, provide support to development of process controls for specific processes and/or customer requirements
• Where required, raise NCR’s against suppliers and follow up to ensure effective CAPA are implemented

• Recent / relevant experience in a similar Quality role within metal fabrication / engineering
• Demonstrable understanding of quality management principles, methodologies and core tools
• Precision in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents
• Highly motivated, proactive, team-orientated and outcomes driven
• A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to other
