To support the production of light fittings within the production department, to ensure quality of production and to support the team to achieve the production targets.

To support the production of light fittings within the production department, to ensure quality of production and to support the team to achieve the production targets.

• Set up the work area and turn on computer
• Complete any tasks outstanding from the previous day
• Collect the days task list as required
• Collect parts and supplies as determined by the job sheets from the locations
• Check any stock items on the inventory that are required, inform supervisor if stock information is incorrect or supplies are faulty
• Perform fault and quality checks, against the specification, on the produced fitting reporting any defaults to the line leader/supervisor
• Ensure that the produced item is fully tested to specification, with an awareness of the personal responsibility for the production quality
• Ensure that the task is signed off on the computer as completed and take to packing area
• Isolate and record any defective items under the quarantine procedure
• Ensure that the work area is maintained in a clean and tidy manner, clean as you go, or complete task at the end of day bell, ensure any spillages are reported directly. Ensure any additional cleaning duties are completed.
• Report any defective work equipment, machinery or potential health and safety risks to the supervisor or Production Manager. Wear PPE as supplied and directed
• Ensure that personal protective equipment is worn at all times as required
