Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm)
Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a leading engineering business to recruit a skilled Plater/Welder to join their growing team. This role is perfect for someone who takes real pride in their craft, thrives on precision, and enjoys working on a variety of complex fabrication projects.

What You’ll Be Doing- Working to strict HSE standards, ensuring all hot-work and site activities are carried out safely
- Producing high-quality fabrication and welds in line with BS EN ISO 9001, ASME IX, BS EN, CE and customer specifications
- Interpreting detailed engineering drawings and assembling products in line with technical requirements
- Managing fabrication and weld documentation to CE standards
- Supporting production to meet project timescales and customer expectations
- Operating a range of equipment safely, including weld sets, grinders, cranes and forklifts (LOLER compliant)
- Leading team members where required and contributing to effective planning, workflow, and resource use
- Conducting testing to assigned standards
- Working on storage tanks and associated projects to API and EEMUA standards
- Keeping weld coding management up to date in accordance with ASME9 & BS EN requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Plater/Welder role
- Strong understanding of API and EEMUA standards
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings
- Proven experience in fabrication, mechanical assembly, and coded welding
- Comfortable working independently and taking a lead role within a team
- Confident meeting strict deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality
- Competent in English, Maths, and basic IT systems
- A proactive approach, strong work ethic, and commitment to doing things right
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
