Land Director

Job Introduction

Gleeson Homes is recruiting for a Land Director to lead the regional land team in sourcing and securing new land supply opportunities. The role supports the regional land strategy and group land acquisition parameters to meet the region's business plans and future growth requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Land Director to join a fast‑growing home builder covering the Midlands and the north of England.

• Lead the Regional Land team to prepare persönliche information packs for evaluation by the Group Land & Planning Director and the Regional Managing Director.
• Create and maintain productive relationships with key landowners, agents and land promoters across the region.
• Report on progress, identify opportunities, and undertake risk assessments to support regional and group objectives.
• Oversee project management of new land supply delivery until legal completion, working closely with other group and regional departments.
• Manage planning applications in the region കഴ support third‑party providers and interface with internal departments; alternatively support the group planning team when required.

• Relevant qualification or extensive experience in land acquisition, negotiation, procurement and management.
• Proven track record of sourcing and securing land opportunities, delivering acquisition programmes and forecasting with strong business and commercial acumen.
• Extensive network of contacts and demonstrated relationship management skills that drive innovative ideas.
• In‑depth knowledge of legal and planning frameworks associated with land acquisition and development procurement, including key town planning legislation and policy.
• Technical, legal and financial commercial awareness, with broad awareness of codes of practice that impact land acquisition and planning matters.
