Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist Inpatient Pain Team
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Inpatient Pain Team.
This pivotal role requires an excellent understanding of acute pain and acute-on-chronic pain management, supported with extensive recent and relevant experience in the field.
As the Lead for the team, you will provide leadership and clinical responsibility for the Inpatient Pain Service, ensuring delivery of a high-quality, patient-focused clinical service in line with national standards of care. You will actively support and mentor the Band 6 Clinical Pain Nurse Specialists within the team, fostering professional development and excellence.
The successful candidate will have an active and visible role in:
- Service development and improvement
- Education and training delivery
- Clinical audit and qualityმას assurance
You will act as a source of expertise, advice, and knowledge for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals, while championing best practice and innovation in pain management.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based pain management care to all inpatients at TRFT.
- Provide expert clinical advice, education, and leadership within the pain team.
- Act as a key resource for patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support and guide Band 6 Clinical Pain Nurse Specialists.
- Lead on the development and implementation of nursing standards for pain management.

£47,810 to £54,710 a year Pro rata, per annum
